According to a study conducted by YouGov on behalf of the British Quality Foundation (BQF) and the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) Two-fifths of companies in the UK could be wasting both time and money by not doing enough to measure and improve their performance*.

53%* of workers said that they waste up to ten per cent of their day correcting mistakes and redoing work - the equivalent of 3.98 billion hours a year.

The research also found that 38%* of employees do not think their firm measures the cost of errors.

Simon Feary, chief executive officer (CEO) of the Chartered Quality Institute, stated that firms should be looking at improving efficiency in order to make savings, rather than cutting costs in other areas.
