According to a study conducted by YouGov on behalf of the British Quality Foundation (BQF) and the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) Two-fifths of companies in the UK could be wasting both time and money by not doing enough to measure and improve their performance*.

53%* of workers said that they waste up to ten per cent of their day correcting mistakes and redoing work - the equivalent of 3.98 billion hours a year.

The research also found that 38%* of employees do not think their firm measures the cost of errors.

Joe Goasdoue, CEO of the BQF, said: “Business improvement should be a priority whatever the economic climate, and UK businesses clearly need to do more to ensure that they are operating as efficiently as possible.”
