Does Your Sales Manager Need Some Additional Training?

January 27th, 2009

According to a new study that covered over 1 million work teams, the best leaders are not excellent all-rounders, instead they are aware of their talents and how to use them to get the best results.

The research that included 30,000 in-depth interviews with leaders and workers found that good leaders do not possess a single common strength but there are specific characteristics that encourage people to follow them.

These include investing in the strengths of individual workers, people that are treated in this way are 8 times more likely to be engaged by a manager than those who are not.

Establishing a well-rounded team was also found to be essential because this allows leaders to make the best use of their skills. The research also proved the best managers understand their workers’ needs with people looking for trust, compassion stability and hope from their leader.

The above information should lead you to ask the question, Does My Sales Manager Need Some Additional Training?
